Remember the “Gavle sound”? Think of bands like Meleeh, Leiah, Children Of Fall etc… Crooked Letter is the new representatives from the Swedish working class city in the north.
Some people would say CL sound like the emo-rock released by Relevation records in the mid 90´s, sure, nothing wrong with that… but we’d rather refer to the “Gavle sound” which also includes not only a certain sound of drums or guitars, but also the real voice of kids describing their life in Swedish surroundings without much of a bright future.
